Thrift / Schoola / Thredup Haul ; Rare Brandy Melville, Free People, Hollister, Steve Madden, and More!

It's time for another haul, I don't always post hauls because I'm either too busy or I don't purchase enough items to make a post, or I forget. But I've made a few good purchases recently so I figured a haul is due!

I'll start with my order from Thredup
- Hollister Poncho/Cardigan in a beautiful tribal print.
- Steve Madden black combat boots (which I have been dying to get ever since I got my brown ones, which I also got from Thredup!)
- Hollister Floral dress which will look amazing with some tights, a cardigan, and boots.
- Rare Brandy Melville jada dress in a gorgeous cream/beige floral print.
- Rare Brandy Melville purple bohemian printed jada dress.
- Brandy Melville finn cardigan, the shorter sleeve version.
- Brandy Melville pink and white sammie shirt.

The best part was I won this cardigan/poncho on Thredup's Facebook! Every Tuesday they have a #TuesdayFinds game where you comment with the link of an item that is below $25 and why you love it and they choose a winner!

So in the end my Thredup order came out to... $24! That's between 2 separate orders, meaning separate shipping as well! I am so excited to get all my lovely items! I got these with credits that I earned by referring people, that's how the price was so low! Now if you're interested in joining Thredup, here is a link to give you a free $20 credit! http://www.thredup.com/r/EKO8JR You can also look around on Retailmenot.com for coupon codes to save even more! Thredup has great prices!

Now on to my Schoola orders, I've placed a few because Schoola items sell fast and only stay in your cart for 10 minutes but they normally have Free Shipping, so it wasn't a problem for me, although I do wish they would ship the items together.

From Schoola I got ;
- Ugg House Slippers
- Unbranded Jeans
- We the Free by Free People Coat (This is sherpa lined and so warm!)
- 7 of All Mankind Jeans
- Rare Brandy Melville Sweater
- Madewell Jeans

All the items I got from Schoola was FREE! I got them from referral credits and by using the coupon codes they offer, they offer lots of coupon codes though out the week. If you want to Join Schoola, use this link for a free $20 credit, https://www.schoola.com/stitch?ref=cp-3X1oqmB64 then make a collection for another $10 credit! After that search for any promo codes to get a better discount! If you're reading this today ( Wednesday, January 13) try the code HERO for 50% off, that's $60 worth of free clothes!

I also got this adorable Cooperative from Urban Outfitters cardigan, I fell in love with the adorable fox print and had to have it! No special sales on this, but it was too adorable to pass up!

Another item I got was some Nike slides to wear around the house.

Thredup Updated Review + $20 Credit

Since I've purchased from Thredup 14 times and I'm about to place my 15th order within the next few days I figured I'd make an updated review on Thredup.

Thredup is basically an online consignment shop with women and kids clothes, along with some accessories, and shoes. There are many name brands on Thredup and some really amazing deals.

I personally sell online so I know what prices most brands go for when being used or even used with flaws that being said I think most of Thredup's prices are very reasonable and fair. For example I love Free People, I found a rare Free People thermal on Thredup for $24, on ebay it was selling for around $90, I also found a famous Free People Voile and Lace Trapeze dress on Thredup for $18, they sell on Ebay, Mercari, and Poshmark for $40+ I can not describe the excitement I got from finding it because I'd been wanting one forever and I wasn't willing to spend $40+ on a used dress (note; they retail for $88). Another brand for example is Lululemon, I haven't personally bought Lulu from Thredup but their pants and shirts are typically $35 each, now on other sites pants are around $50+ but you can get tanks for around $25. Lululemon jackets are $50 on Thredup and around $60 on other sites. They also sell Brandy Melville for super cheap, I'm talking $5-$10, I know Brandy Melville is pretty cheap in general but from selling on Mercari and Posh, I realize once a popular item is completely sold out girls are willing to pay to double to triple the retail price. I found some adorable Brandy Melville bohemian pants for $10, while at the time they were selling for around $30 plus shipping.

I also think their shipping prices are very reasonable, about $5-$6 and if you spend $150 in one month you'll get free shipping for the entire next month. They ship pretty fast too, my orders normally ship within 1-3 business days and arrive within 3 days. All orders are neatly packaged and big orders come in the cutest boxes, I personally save all my polka dotted Thredup boxes for storage for art supplies, etc.

So far out of all 14 orders I have only had one problem, a gorgeous Free People dress I ordered came with beads falling off it and I don't mean 1-2 beads, I mean like 50 beads rolling around the box, I emailed Thredup and the issue was resolved that day. The customer service representative was very nice and quick to help me resolve the issue and I can honestly say it was the best customer care service I've received in awhile.

So would I recommend others to Thredup? Most definitely, not only are you getting amazing deals but you know you get what you're ordering or your money back. I've been addicted to Thredup for awhile now, I even have to app so I get discount codes Mon-Wed plus I can browse their new items awhile I'm out and about and bored.

If you're thinking of checking Thredup out, you can join with my link and get $10 off your first 2 orders, thats $20 of credits, FREE! http://www.thredup.com/r/BJ8WT0

Disclaimer, while I adore Thredup I have never sent items in to Thredup because 1. I personally sell on other websites and 2. from my research they pay out very little, even for high brand items. If you're thinking about sending in some items, be sure to do your research. You can google Thredup reviews, check out Thredup's social media pages, and ask people questions about their experience when sending in bags.

How to Get the Best Deals When Shopping for Clothes

I love fashion, I could shop all day but I'm also on a tight budget and over the past few years I've learned quite a few tips and tricks on how to get the best deals. Today I'm going to share with you those tips and tricks, plus I'll add some links so you'll get free credit, and possibly even FREE clothes, at the bottom of the page.

Thrifting ; I know plenty of people who find thrift shopping gross or they just can't deal with the idea of wearing someone elses clothes but I love thrift shopping, I've found some of my favorite items while thrifting and for great prices. Now you can stick to local places, I live in a small city and we only have two Goodwills and no actual thrift stores so I also thrift online. Again I live in a small city so there's alot of brands I love (Free People, Brandy  Melville, Etc) that they don't sell around here so I normally get those brands online. There are plenty of online thrift stores; ebay, poshmark, mercari, thredup, schoola, and more.

Couponing; I love Victoria's Secret but I don't always love their prices so I normally only shop when they are having a big sale or at least giving out rewards cards, last year I got around 20 Secret Reward Cards (I placed a few orders when they were giving out 2 per order) and I used all my cards when they were offering free shipping, I also make sure to use any free pantie coupons I've gotten as well. You can sign up on Victoria's Secret site for catalogs and they will occasionally send you coupons. I also always check www.retailmenot.com for online coupons when placing an order online.

Set a Limit; Whenever I'm making a list of what I'm wanting to purchase or what I'm looking for I always set a limit of what I'm will to pay. For basic items I normally just get them while thrifting because they will cost around $3-$5. If its a certain item from a certain brand and I'm not willing to pay retail I look around online to compare prices for sold items so that I know what the item normally goes for and I base it off that.

Buy and Sell; I have alot of clothes, and I truly mean ALOT, so I sell some of the clothes I never wear or ones I get for a good deal that I know someone else might want. I used to sell on ebay and facebook but now I only sell on Poshmark and Mercari. Both apps have their pros and cons, you can find my post on Mercari VS Poshmark for more detailed information. If you do decide to sell on any selling site make sure you research your items, some items will go for a decent price, especially certain brands that sellout of items fast, for example most Free People thermals with designed cuffs sell for $40+ used, some even sell for $100+ when they retail for $68. This helps you declutter your closet or even just get rid of clothes you never wear. I normally set a monthly goal for myself, like sell $150-$100 worth of clothes then I can buy myself something nice for under $30, this also helps me save money as well. If you don't want to sell online see if you have a Platos Closet close by and take it there to sell them.

Thrifting Tips & Tricks ; Get the Best Deals/Finds + $20 Credit!

I love fashion but I'm on a very tight budget, so I look for the best deals meaning I thrift shop often. Most of my clothes are from Goodwill or from online thrift stores. I watch watch a lot of thrift hauls on youtube and I'm always envious of other girls finds and for the longest time I wished I could find good finds as well because I rarely did but recently I've started finding amazing items so I thought I'd share some tips I've been using to do so.

Tips for In Store Thrifting ;

1. Wear comfy clothes so that when you try stuff on its easy and not so much of a hassle. I don't always do this and I always regret it. You don't want to have to take 10 layers off to try something on.
2. Be prepared to spend time in the thrift store, when I go to Goodwill I'm there for at least 2 hours. I personally like to look at everything that I can so I don't miss something amazing, especially from my favorite sections.

3. Go through other sections, most people only stick to their sections but I always skim through the kids and the mens, sometimes the workers misplace items or customers move them so you never know what you'll find plus I've found some amazing  graphic shirts in the mens clothing.
4. Try stuff on always, I don't know how many times I've bought stuff and didn't feel like trying stuff on and regretted it. Recently I bought a gorgeous pink cardigan because I knew it would fit but I didn't feel like trying it on and when I got home I tried it on and it looked funny on me, it fit but just wasn't my style.

5. Know your brands, I personally love a good deal and I want my clothes to be good quality so make sure you keep an eye out for your favorite brands. I'm not all about brands but I don't want to buy a used shirt that will fall apart in a few weeks. I only buy cheaper brands when its something super adorable that I just can't pass up.

6. Like it? Put it in the cart, if you see something your iffy about go ahead and put it in your cart. You don't want to leave something on a rack that you're unsure about then later decide you want it and have to try to find it in hopes that someone else didn't.

7. Check your finds, look over everything you've found and decide if you really want everything you picked up and make sure there aren't any stains or holes. I found a gorgeous Michael Kors coat at Goodwill once and when I got home I noticed a hole in the back, now I always scan over my items before purchasing them, better safe than sorry.

Tips for Online Thrifting ;

1. Stay updated, I have a few thrifting apps on my phone and whenever I'm bored I'll browse my favorite brands on them. You never know when you'll see a deal too good to pass up.

2. Follow your favorite brands, most online sites have options where you can make collections or follow brands, be sure to follow your main favorite brands.

3. Check the condition, always check the condition of the items before placing your order. If you're shopping on Poshmark, ask the seller questions. Most sites have the condition or any flaws listed in the description so make sure you check them out before placing your order.

4. Research, make sure you look around before purchasing something. I had been looking for the Free People sweater below for awhile, it retailed for $98, way out of my price range plus its been sold out for awhile now. So I looked on the Poshmark app and the Mercari app, most of the ones I saw was $55+ and I'm not comfortable spending so much on a used item when I could get sooo much more from Goodwill so I held off for awhile then I was bored one day looking up random things on ebay and I found it for $15 + $6 for shipping, so I immediately bought it.

5. Ask yourself, is it really worth it, will you wear it, how often will you wear it. I find myself buying things that I never end up wearing or things that in the end, I don't find to be worth the price. Make sure you really want something before purchasing.

6. Act fast, this contradicts some of the other tips but there are other people out there online thrifting and plenty of people looking for the same things as you, so if you find something you really like add it to your cart. For some sites like Thredup, items go fast so be sure to add anything you like to your cart, you can go back later and remove items you don't want.

7. Know the rules, be sure to read up on the FAQs on the site you're on. On most sites after awhile your cart expires. For example on Thredup after 24 hours your cart will expire and the items you wanted are back up for grabs.

ThredUp Review and Haul plus a free $10 Credit

I decided to create  another post for ThredUp since I got my largest order today. I will add an update on this post when I receive the rest of my orders. I was super excited when I saw that tracking said my package was out for delivery and as soon as I saw the mailman I rushed outside to get it.

Here is a short video I put together of me un-boxing the items.

Now on to the review.

I loved everything I got. Everything was in great condition and I can't wait to wear everything. I can't even decide which item is my favorite because I was pretty excited for it all. I loved the packaging they use and I'll probably keep the box for storing craft items or something. Shipping did take awhile but wasn't too bad, I have noticed the packages stay at the post office for an entire day which is odd but I'm just glad I got such good deals.

I will definately purchase from ThredUp again, I actually have a few ThredUp pages bookmarked on my computer and a few items in my cart on there. I do recommend you check ThredUp out if you're on a budget and love fashion. They sell womens, juniors, and kids clothing and shoes. Everything I've gotten so far has been in excellent pre-owned condition and the prices are amazing. So far the only thing I don't like is that they don't offer promotions for returning customers besides the 20% off $75 which is out of my budget. Other than that, I love the site.

Join ThredUp & Get a $10 Credit / Huge 99 Cents Sale / Online Thrift Shopping / ThredUp Review

When I first heard of  ThredUp, I was super excited because as you all know, I recently found Like Twice and fell in love with it. So I decided to try out ThredUp. ThredUp has a $10 credit for joining just like Twice but ThredUp has so many more options, which is great.

Before I even got to purchase my mom placed an order.
She ordered 2 pairs of Levi's and a pair of Nike shoes and only paid $25.00 out of her pocket.
One pair of jeans were marked as *small flaw but when her package arrived, I looked at all her items carefully and all was in great pre-owned condition. She's very picky when it comes to her jeans, she loves the mom styled straight leg jeans. So it's pretty hard to find her the style she likes but we saw tons on ThredUp. She liked the site so much, she already placed order number two.

Now I've already placed three orders but I haven't received any of my orders so far because the holidays. I will include photos of what I've ordered so far and when they get here I will be posting a haul video/lookbook.
