First Try at Couponing | CVS Haul from Sunday Coupons 2/26 | 13 Items for $14

I've always liked couponing and I've dabbled in it here and there but Saturday I decided I wanted to go shopping and stock up on a few items so Saturday night I went on Google and searched for an early view of the Sunday paper to see if there were any good coupons, there were so Sunday I purchased a paper.

That evening I cut out all the coupons and began researching who had the best deals. I'm in a few couponing groups on facebook, I checked The Krazy Coupon Lady Blog, and I looked at the weekly add on CVS.com. I figured out I'd go to CVS since they stack coupons and they offer extra care bucks on some purchases. I decided on what to get and I made a list, I had to do 3 transactions but they were small so I was okay with that as long as CVS wasn't busy.

Before going in I checked the CVS app and saw I had $5 extra care bucks and a coupon for laundry detergent, which I was going to purchase so I sent it over. I got 3 envelopes and listed out what I was buying per transaction and then stuck the coupons for each purchase inside. I added an extra envelope with a back up plan of a smaller order if some coupons didn't print from the CVS catalina/redbox. I wanted to be as organized as possible so that it was easier for me and the cashier.

When I first went into CVS I noticed it wasn't busy, I was literally the only customer so that helped with my anxiety. I printed my coupons from the CVS machine and got all the coupons I wanted. So I put the extra envelope away. I looked around the store and got everything I wanted, I asked the cashier if it was okay to do 3 transactions and she said it was okay (I know I should have asked sooner). So here's the transactions I did.

Transaction #1 ;

4 bottles of Pantene Shampoo/Conditioner | Sale Price 3/$12
2 Bottles of Pantene Styler | Sale Price 2/$10
1 Bottle of Dawn Dish Soap| Sale Price 99 cents
1 Xtra Laundry Detergent | Sale Price $1.99

Coupons Used ;

$5 off 3 bottles of Pantene Products (mfc from 2/26 P&G)
$1 off one bottle of Pantene Products (mfc from 2/26 P&G)
$1.50 off two bottles of Pantene Styler (mfc from 2/26 P&G)
$2 off 3 Hair Products (CVS Coupon)
25 cents off Dawn Dish Soap (mfc 2/26 P&G)
$1.50 off Laundry (CVS Coupon)
$1 off Xtra (printed from coupons.com)
$5 extra care bucks

Total OOP (Out Of Pocket) ; $13.83
and I received $7 in extra care bucks back for spending $25 (before coupons) on certain items.

Transaction #2

1 Pack of Reese Cups | Sale Price 99 cents
1 Xtra Laundry Detergent | Sale Price $1.99
1 Puffs Tissues | Sale Price 99 cent
1 Crest Pro Health Mouthwash | Sale Price $4.99

Coupons Used ;

$1 off Xtra Detergent (printed from coupons.com)
25 cents off Puffs (mfc from 2/26 P&G)
25 cents off Puffs (printed from coupons.com)
$1 off Crest Mouthwash (mfc from 2/26 P&G)
I used the $7 extra care bucks from Transaction #1

Total OOP ; 0.56 cents
and I received $2 in extra care bucks for buying the mouth wash

Transaction #3 ;

Xtra Laundry Detergent | Sale Price $1.99

Coupons Used ;

$2 Extra Care Bucks

Total OOP ; 0.14 cents

Haul Photo ; <3 td="">

For Transaction #2 I could have done better, I let extra care bucks go away because I didn't know what to get but next time I will have a filler in my head but in the end I am still happy with my purchases.

Original Price ; $58.91
My OOP ; $14.53
I Saved ; $44.38

So if you're thinking about giving couponing a try, I say go for it. Just do your research and start small. I got 13 items and only spent $14.53 plus the price per item was pretty good for stockpile price in my opinion. If you got the 2/26 Sunday paper and you still have your coupons you can try this deal, just keep in mind if you don't have extra bucks to start with or the CVS coupons your OOP will be higher than mine around $5-$7 which isn't too bad for these products. Hopefully next week I can find more great deals, if so I'll blog about it.

Thrift / Schoola / Thredup Haul ; Rare Brandy Melville, Free People, Hollister, Steve Madden, and More!

It's time for another haul, I don't always post hauls because I'm either too busy or I don't purchase enough items to make a post, or I forget. But I've made a few good purchases recently so I figured a haul is due!

I'll start with my order from Thredup
- Hollister Poncho/Cardigan in a beautiful tribal print.
- Steve Madden black combat boots (which I have been dying to get ever since I got my brown ones, which I also got from Thredup!)
- Hollister Floral dress which will look amazing with some tights, a cardigan, and boots.
- Rare Brandy Melville jada dress in a gorgeous cream/beige floral print.
- Rare Brandy Melville purple bohemian printed jada dress.
- Brandy Melville finn cardigan, the shorter sleeve version.
- Brandy Melville pink and white sammie shirt.

The best part was I won this cardigan/poncho on Thredup's Facebook! Every Tuesday they have a #TuesdayFinds game where you comment with the link of an item that is below $25 and why you love it and they choose a winner!

So in the end my Thredup order came out to... $24! That's between 2 separate orders, meaning separate shipping as well! I am so excited to get all my lovely items! I got these with credits that I earned by referring people, that's how the price was so low! Now if you're interested in joining Thredup, here is a link to give you a free $20 credit! http://www.thredup.com/r/EKO8JR You can also look around on Retailmenot.com for coupon codes to save even more! Thredup has great prices!

Now on to my Schoola orders, I've placed a few because Schoola items sell fast and only stay in your cart for 10 minutes but they normally have Free Shipping, so it wasn't a problem for me, although I do wish they would ship the items together.

From Schoola I got ;
- Ugg House Slippers
- Unbranded Jeans
- We the Free by Free People Coat (This is sherpa lined and so warm!)
- 7 of All Mankind Jeans
- Rare Brandy Melville Sweater
- Madewell Jeans

All the items I got from Schoola was FREE! I got them from referral credits and by using the coupon codes they offer, they offer lots of coupon codes though out the week. If you want to Join Schoola, use this link for a free $20 credit, https://www.schoola.com/stitch?ref=cp-3X1oqmB64 then make a collection for another $10 credit! After that search for any promo codes to get a better discount! If you're reading this today ( Wednesday, January 13) try the code HERO for 50% off, that's $60 worth of free clothes!

I also got this adorable Cooperative from Urban Outfitters cardigan, I fell in love with the adorable fox print and had to have it! No special sales on this, but it was too adorable to pass up!

Another item I got was some Nike slides to wear around the house.

Rare Brandy Melville Haul from Twice & Poshmark (plus Poshmark Review)

Another haul because I received two packages today, I love the feeling of seeing packages in my mailbox and today was an even more exciting day because I finally got a Brandy Melville dress that I've been looking for forever.

 So I'll start with the dress I have been dying to have. I absolutely loved this dress the first time I saw it on lookbook.nu

Here is the lookbook image I saw;

   and here is another look the same user created with the same dress, I love both looks and they both inspired me to look for the dress, especially the one with the lace slip.

Now on to the next item I got this super cute Brandy Melville moon tank top. I've always liked this tank top but never got it because I wasn't sure if it was worth the price but I had some credit in my twice account so I got it.

Now on to my Poshmark review, I've had a Poshmark account for awhile now but I never really got on there but I started getting on there to look for Brandy Melville, Victoria's Secret, and H&M items that are on my wishlist but are no longer being sold in stores and I finally stumbled upon the Brandy Melville dress I've been wanting forever. The best part was it was only listed for $15 plus the standard $4.99 shipping price so I got it. This has been my best purchase for this year.

The girl I purchased it from, shipped it the next day and it arrived in two days! She packaged it really nicely with tissue paper and twine. The dress is in perfect condition and I couldn't ask for a better transaction. The girl has tons of cute items for sale and her prices are super affordable. Here is the link to her poshmark page;

Check it out and be sure to give her a follow incase she adds new items you might like.

I will definitely be checking Poshmark more often, I love that they make sure you receive your items before giving the seller the money to make sure you get your order.

If you're wanting to make a poshmark account you can use my referral code to get $5 worth of credit! BMSYH

Thrifting Haul; Hollister and Abercrombie

I just got two new items today, not much but I'm super excited to have them, especially for this winter weather.

Item number one is this red snowflake/hearts cardigan. I've been wanting a fair isle cardigan for awhile now for the holidays. Even though its past Christmas, we are still having winter weather so I'll still be able to wear it.

 The other item is this cute Abercrombie Jacket. I was iffy about getting this but I went ahead and got it because 1. maroon is my favorite color to wear, 2. the inside print is adorable, and 3. it's so warm and with this weather, I need all the layers I can get..

Poshmark Review / Thrift Shopping / $5 Credit For Free !

I've been really getting into these thrift shop sites lately and I've actually known about this one for awhile. It's called Poshmark and the thing I love most about it is that you can find rare items and great deals. I scored this rare black floral Brandy Melville dress for $20 including shipping. I just placed my order last night so I haven't received it yet but I am super excited to get it.

I have been looking for this dress forever and I was randomly playing on Poshmark the yesterday and BOOM there it was. I can not wait to style this bad boy. <3 So look forward to seeing this in future lookbook posts.

Now more about Poshmark, Let's go over the basics;

How does it work?
You basically create an account ( Use my Code to get $5 in credit BMSYH ) and look for things you want, whether its a brand or even a specific item. I always search random things I've seen on www.lookbook.nu and like/heart them so I can keep an eye on them. There are tons of rare Brandy Melville and Victoria's Secret Pink items which I love, love, love.

What form of payments do they accept?
You  pay with your credit card through the site but some sellers ask that you pay via paypal and they will lower the price. Now lets go over the pros and cons of buying through paypal.

Pros

- the seller doesn't  have to deal with Poshmark fees
- shipping fees might cost less
- the seller may be willing to accept a lower price for an item.

Cons

- although in my own personal experience Paypal has been a great form of payment outside of websites, you can get scammed. never send payments gifted, always ask for an invoice and make sure the person lists the item(s) you are purchasing on the invoice.
- Poshmarks Buyer Protector will not be able to help if you get scammed.

With that being said I personally find it better to purchase with your credit card through Poshmark.

Is it safe to order from Poshmark?
You are protected every time you place an order on Poshmark with Posh Protect. When you purchase an item on Poshmark, they keep your payment safe until you tell them that you've received your order. If your item does not match the description, you should notify them within 3 days of delivery. After they verify your claim (through pictures), they'll refund your payment. If they don't hear from you by 3 days after your order is delivered, they will assume everything is OK and release your payment to the seller. Once they release your payment, all sales are final and no refunds will be available.

What if I place an order and its been weeks and I haven't received anything?
Not to worry, Posh Protect helps keep buyers safe from scams, you can go to your order page and click on
 Account Tab → My Purchases → Click on the item you purchased → Problems/Order Inquiry.
 to inform them that you haven't received your item(s).

If you have any other questions feel free to list them below and I will reply as soon as possible.
