Thrifting Online | Where to Shop Preowned Clothing with Short Reviews ( ebay, Mercari, Poshmark, Swap, ThredUp & more!)

Who doesn't love thrift shopping? I personally love it and while I love going out and looking for a good deal, I can't always go out, whether its because of work, the weather, etc it's always nice to have a back up thrift shop, that's where the internet comes in. (Thank you modern technology.)

So today I'm going to list some of my favorite online thrift stores with a little review on each site. You can find full reviews on most of these sites on my blog site.

1. Mercari ; This is a selling app similar to ebay, it's mostly people selling stuff they don't want anymore. I love that you can make offers on everything with that being said it doesn't mean everyone negotiates but most people are selling items they want to get rid of so a lot of things are reasonably priced.
2. Ebay ; eBay has always been a hit or miss with me, sometimes I find really great deals and other times I can't find anything that I like for a good deal. A lot of resellers use ebay so they tend to price things a bit higher than you'll find on other selling sites.
3. Poshmark ; I love Poshmark, its another selling site where people are selling items they don't want anymore. The only downfall for Poshmark is the shipping is $6.49, it's priority shipping which is nice but when I find something for under $6 I don't always want to pay more for shipping.
4. Swap ; I've actually been loving this site lately. I've been ordering from them for the past few weeks, religiously. They have really nice sales and the prices aren't too bad, depending on the brand. I'm not a fan on how they size things, especially pants so I mostly buy my tops from there. (Keep an eye out for a haul plus a review on my blog, I'm just waiting for my package to arrive.
5. Schoola ; I used to shop on Schoola all the time, you can check my blog for reviews. They also have plenty of nice sales, sometimes even 50% off your total purchase which is amazing. Their items are also priced reasonable. I personally don't purchase from Schoola anymore because of a problem I encountered with their customer service and credit program but I'd still recommend checking them out.
6. ThredUp ; Another old favorite of mine, I haven't purchased from them in awhile because their prices are a bit more expensive than the other sites I've mentioned but you can find really good quality clothes on Thredup plus the customer service is nice.
7. Vinted ; I decided to include this site as well but honestly I haven't tried it out. I made an account awhile back but I never really got on it or made any purchases but it is another site where you can thrift for clothes.

How to Get ; Rare Brandy Melville Clothes for Cheap or Free

So let's be honest you either love Brandy Melville or you hate it, there is no in between.

If you love Brandy Melville, keep reading but if you hate it, please click off this post. This post is for the girls that love Brandy Melville but the item they wanted sold out quick or just isn't in their price range. Here are some tips/tricks on how to get Brandy Melville for super cheap or even completely free, because who doesn't love free? Plus who wants to keep spending too much money at Brandy Melville? Not me!

1. Schoola ; this is where you'll get free items but you have to keep an eye on their site because items go fast, also if you see something you want, purchase it immediately, items stay in your cart for 15 minutes then they are back up for grabs. All my Brandy Melville Caroline cardigans came from Schoola and they were around $12 but with my credits, I got them for FREE. Here's how to get some credits ;

That's $60 worth of free clothes! It doesn't get any better than that.

2. Mercari ; Mercari is an app which is pretty much like ebay without the fees. Since it's people selling items they don't want anymore you can always make an offer on items. You can get a $2 credit for downloading the app and using invite code YYSGQZ make sure you type in all caps or you won't get the credits, also share your code with your friends and family so that you'll get more credits, it doesn't seem like a lot but the credits add up fast.

3. Poshmark ; Poshmark is like Mercari, you can make offers on items as well. You can get a $5 credit but downloading the app and using referral code
BMSYH again, don't forget to share your code with friends and family to get more credits for yourself.

4. Thredup ; Thredup is more like Schoola. It's where I've gotten all my rare Jada dresses, for around $10-$15 each. You'll get a free $10 by joining with the link ; http://www.thredup.com/r/92FNPC your credit is only available for 30 days.

Back to School Shopping on a Budget + Free Clothes

It's almost that time of year again, back to school. It's time to start shopping for school clothes and supplies and for some people that's hard to do when you're on a budget. So here are a few tips that might help you when going back to school shopping.

Supplies ;

1. Know what you need ; when I was young and it was time to go back to school my mom would buy the same supplies for me and my siblings. She would stock up on pencils and notebooks but not much else, as I got older she realized most of the items she bought, we didn't really need and then in the long run she would have to spend more money on items she didn't think we would need. She got better at it with the years but around middle school she decided to stop buying so many supplies before school. She got my brother a binder, his 6th grade year, turns out he wasn't allowed to carry it at the school he went to. So after that she would only get us each a note book and some pencils, then the first day of school we would bring home lists of things we really needed.

2. Look for the best deals ; when you're out and about keep an eye on the prices of back to school items, you'll find a lot of stores have tons of inexpensive items. You can even check online for the best deals, whenever I'm about to leave to go to Wal*Mart or Krogers, I always check The Crazy Coupon Lady page. There are other blogs out there you can check out as well to see what stores are having the best deals.

3. Check your community ; If you're really on a budget and can't afford school supplies, look for programs in your city. All cities might not have this but it's worth a shot to check. I know in my city we have churches and community centers that giveaway backpacks full of supplies.

Clothes ;

1. Know your schools dresscode ; always check out the dress code before buying clothes, some schools are stricted than others. My middle school didn't allow jeans with holes in them, most schools don't allow crop tops but some do. You don't want to end up buying tons of clothes your kids can't wear, For girls make sure you know the length of their skirts/dresses/shorts because most schools are strict with how short your clothes can be.

2. Know your kids style ; I remember when my mom would go shopping for me, without me and she always got the ugliest clothes, half the time they would sit in my closet and never get worn because I didn't like them or they didn't fit me. Sometimes it's a hassle to take your children shopping but its always best to know they like the clothes and that they fit them.When you're on a budget you can't afford to buy something they aren't going to wear.

3. Check online ; a lot of online sites have great deals, so be sure to look at items online. Also check online thrift stores, a lot of people send in brand new items and the shops discount the price a lot. You can check eBay, Poshmark, Schoola, Thredup, and Mercari for brand new clothes or even preowned clothes in great condition (if you're okay with that).

When searching on eBay try using the words " NEW" or "NWT" to find new items.
When looking on Poshmark, Mercari, Thredup, or Schoola you can just change the filters to brand new items.

FREE CLOTHES ;

1. Schoola, Get $20 free when you join through this link ; https://www.schoola.com/stitch?ref=cp-3X1oqnW1F but that's not all, when you create a collection you'll get another $10, then go check your email for a 50% off coupon code that's $60 worth of free clothes! And most of the time shipping is free!

2. Mercari ; mercari is an app so you'll have to download it, for free. Use invite code YYSGQZ for a $2 credit, the best part about Mercari is it's like ebay so it's individual sellers and sometimes they'll take lower than the asking price so don't forget to make offers!

3. Poshmark ; Poshmark is like mercari, so feel free to make offers on items, download the app and use referral code BMSYH for a $5 credit.

4. Thredup ; sign up with this link for a $10 credit, sadly with this one you'll have to pay shipping which is around $6 but it's totally worth it ; http://www.thredup.com/r/92FNPC

Schoola Review Online Thrifting, + Free $60 Worth of Clothes

Another online thrift store review, because you can never have enough new places to shop.

Let's start with the basics..

Schoola is an online thrift site but it has to be one of my favorite thrifting sites and the reason why is because Schoola is a donation program. So basically 40% of your purchase goes to schools all across the US to help with special programs like art, music, sports, etc.

Now this review is long overdue because I have placed SOOO many orders on Schoola. I browse their shop daily because they add items regularly. Half of my closet has came from, and even a few items from my boyfriends closet, are from Schoola. I also purchase items from Schoola to use for DIY projects so I also pay attention to other sizes.

Let's talk about the pros and the cons.

Pros ;
- Cheap, the prices are very affordable.
- Charity, who doesn't love shopping? But shopping and donating!? Count me in!
- Varity, they have tons of different sizes (girls, boys, women, juniors, and young men) and brands.
- Promos, a lot of the time they have great promo deals, like 50% off or free shipping, read below to get an amazing deal today!

Cons ;
- Shipping, while this isn't a huge problem for me, it can be for other people. Sometimes they get super busy and shipping is delayed.
- Flaws, I'm not sure whether this is a con or pro but always read the description for an item and be aware that most items are preowned so there could be flaws, some flaws can slip by when they are listing items but all you have to do is email them and they will gladly help with any problems with your orders.

Now on to the deals,
join through this link for a $20 credit and FREE SHIPPING, that's over $20 worth of clothes for absolutely FREE! ; https://www.schoola.com/stitch?ref=cp-3X1oqnW1F
Once you have an account create a "Collection" to get another $10 credit.
Now check your email for a 50% off coupon code.
You can  now get $60 worth of free clothes! Also don't forget to share your referral link to your friends/family to get even more credits. <3 p="">
